Amazing bar in such a unique location, our bartender Steve went through all our cocktail choices as we were new to gin, he made it feel personal and offered advice on which ones would most likely to like. Can’t wait to go again

With over 25 years of experience collectively, bartender brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield always had a vision to return to our home city of Manchester to open our eponymous venue; SCHOFIELD’S BAR graces the corner of Sunlight House, one of the most iconic buildings in the north of England. The art deco masterpiece of architect Joseph Sunlight was the tallest building in Manchester upon completion during the 1930s.

Really loved this place. Very 1920s art deco, with some really excellent cocktails. The staff are very knowledgeable and will easily recommend you a cocktail if you cannot decide between the options, and take into consideration your likes and dislikes. You can even borrow a classic book to read while in there!

We came to Manchester for the weekend and I can honestly say this is the best place we have been down here. For starters the cocktails are absolutely amazing. We came in for 1 and I think we ended up having the vast majority of the menu.

The best cocktail bar in Manchester, currently nothing else compares. All the staff are super knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. The place has had a sleek fit out and displays some of the buildings original features as its located in a grade listed building – watch your head on the door on the way out!

Brilliant bar in Thomas Street that sells a good range of beers including an amazing gluten free rhubarb beer! There is outside seating and really helpful staff. Can’t wait to go back!

Great little venue, good beers and excellent staff. Comedy night upstairs when I was there but didn’t check it out. Will return ASAP

Such a great beer selection and the woman was so knowledgeable on every one. Hoping she is manager or ist so she can pass on her skills to others. Have a break and peanut beer were my favourites
