What We Offer:

Having worked in sustainability and in workers’ cooperatives in the past, we care very much about shopping for ingredients ethically as well as locally, and are very aware of our carbon and environmental footprint. We like to bake for places that care about these things too. Many of our ingredients are sourced from Unicorn Grocery in Chorlton and Suma, which gives us confidence in the quality and ethicality of our products. Products that we cannot source from Unicorn or Suma we buy locally from independent shops whenever possible.

I ordered the Vanilla & Chocolate Marbled Cake with Chocolate icing back in April this year and we were not disappointed (wish I wrote a review sooner).

First time ordering from The Black Cat Cakery and Erika was fantastic with helping me with the many questions I had, and was really pleasant to correspond with and went well above and beyond. Order and collection were both really smooth

If you find yourself in a pickle and need a cake urgently, I will do everything in my power to accommodate your request. I do not charge extra for short notice, and know that if I do say No, it is because I cannot physically do it for the time you need it. *sad face*. My cakes are all individual – I don’t generally make the same cake twice, so you will be sure that you are getting a bespoke creation, made with your specific requests in mind. I love quirky, out of the box ideas that push the limits and am happy to try almost anything

I found Jo’s website through a google search for professional cake bakers near me. I was impressed by her website, her 5* reviews and the pictures of her amazing cakes.

I decided to take a chance and order my nieces 18th birthday cake from her. I must say I wasn’t disappointed.

The cake was tailor made to perfection and everybody was astounded at how amazing it looked. It tasted absolutely divine and was thoroughly enjoyed by everybody.
