From the moment Ruth arrived I felt comfortable, she is just lovely. Ruth came to advise me on our 5 month old Rottweiler and she was brilliant. She made sure I understood each part of the training before leaving (30 minutes later than she should have at no extra cost) and has definitely restored my confidence. Ruth has sent me messages on the training we did so if I need to refer back to it I have it to hand. She also sent me links on what collar and lead to buy. I would definitely recommend using Leeds Dog School without hesitation

Recently got a German shepherd 4 years old and poorly raised didn’t stop barking at any and every dog and sometimes people as soon as we got to the park with Leeds dog school there was an immediate change we could take her attention away from the other dogs and stopped her from barking. She was able to walk past other dogs at the end of the session no problem there’s still some work to be done and yet Leeds dog school made an incredible difference in just 1 session so worth the money

Just had Dave with us for a couple of hours and I have to say he was amazing. In a couple of hours we actually feel confident with our wire Fox Terrier. I’m so very grateful to you for helping us in such a small space of time. Very professional. Straight in there and got on with what needed to be done and I’m totally amazed. Thank you I will call on you again when we get our new puppy! Thank you so much. Highly recommend you.

If you’re looking for a patient and knowledgeable dog trainer, look no further! We booked an online appointment to discuss what we needed to do/think about before bringing our little guy home. The online appointment was fantastic, Alex is incredibly personable and it was so easy to discuss what we needed to prepare. We have a toddler so we’re nervous about juggling her and the puppy. Again, Alex was great! She gave us lots of tips and tricks to settle them with each other and it’s safe to say they’re the best of friends thanks to this! We then booked on to have some 1-2-1 puppy classes as we loved Alex’s approach to training.

Alex has been absolutely incredible and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough. Her enthusiasm, patience and knowledge has been invaluable and we’ve loved every second of puppy classes. Taking part over zoom exceeded my expectations – the classes were well put together, interactive and still plenty of one-to-one time even though it was a group session. There has been so much support available every step of the way & any time of day through the WhatsApp group.
Ronnie & I are genuinely gutted we’ve finished puppy school and won’t be spending our Tuesday evenings with you anymore 😢

Alex is a kind, supportive, encouraging, and joyful trainer, who I would 100% recommend. We took part in the puppy school course, which had to be shifted online due to Covid. I was initially unsure about how this would work, but Alex was incredible!

Getting in touch with Jacob, Georgie, and the team at Yorkshire Canine Academy is the best decision we could have made. We needed some help with Jericho – our 3 year old cross breed with reactive instincts and other dog reactivity. We knew we were doing everything wrong but just needed someone to tell us simply how to fix it. Jacob was patient and so easy to understand when talking us through the basics. He didn’t judge us for having done all the worst tricks in the book for a reactive high energy dog. He broke the training down into stages, and each session we have it’s just incredible to see Jericho’s response and progression.

We took our 18 month old American Bully to Yorkshire Canine Academy with the hope of being able to walk him near roads. Hugo was terrified of traffic and refused to walk anywhere near them. We left Hugo with Jacob and Georgie for a four day residential. We were amazed when we went to pick him up. He walked near roads, walked to heal and there was no pulling on the lead.

Juno had been given up twice and had (quite extreme) anxiety-based aggression towards dogs and walking her was extremely difficult; she would pull on the lead, lunge, growl and spend the whole walk panicking. In the home she would take her stress and frustrations out on us through mouthing and jump on the window sill to bark at everything. However, we knew she was a sweet and intelligent girl who needed professional help so she could start to enjoy life
