What could only have been described as devastation we all felt. Paul & his team were truly a gift to us during this time and especially through covid.   decided to use this company because of all the positive reviews and feedback that I’d heard about them and I wasn’t disappointed. From the very beginning everyone, but especially Peter, was fabulous – kind, courteous, accommodating and understanding and no matter what I asked of them or how many times I changed plans or emailed them overnight with suggestions and alterations, they never once let me down. The other wonderful point about them is that they have so many affordable packages so that even if you’re struggling with your budget, they will do their best to find a way to help you. There are no other funeral homes in Leeds that will do that and that’s part of what makes Gooding so special. If I have the misfortune of having to plan another funeral, without any hesitation whatsoever I would go straight back to them.

No doubt a 5* service. Top marks are given because they are lovely people to work with, are great communicators, are compassionate and patient, all whilst offering great guidance and advice.We were surprised by and loved Gooding’s use of the traditional paging. We did not know what this was called, but now know it’s where the director walks in front of the cortège for a distance and then stops and bows to the coffin in a gesture of respect before getting into the hearse. A really love touch.

Thanks guys, you played a big part in making my mum’s farewell a fantastic occasion 🙂

If looking for a funeral directors service I cannot recommend Hugh Gooding Funeral Services highly enough. When my mother PASSED they were there from the very beginning. Xina and Peter were extremely helpful and assisted us through the process, nothing was too much to ask of them and they saw us through a very difficult period of time. I thank them for their patience and understanding and their professionalism.
