What We Offer:
Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford and Wigan and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond. We also provide Health and Justice Services in a number of custodial settings. The Trust employs around 6,400 members of staff, who deliver services from around 160 locations. Over a 12-month period, we see in the region of 53,000 service users. The business of GMMH is managed by a board of directors. The board work closely with the council of governors, who provide local accountability by representing the interests of members and partner organisations.

What We Offer:
Our aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of people and communities in Manchester, to help individuals and families live fuller, healthier, happier and longer lives. If you have a long term physical health condition and struggle to exercise then our Physical Activity Referral Service (PARS) can help you increase your levels of activity in a safe and structured environment. Our Neighbourhood Health Workers are based in your local communities. They deliver training courses and workshops, supporting community groups and organising health events. Helping to improve the health and wellbeing of communities.

Buzz and Manchester Health & Wellbeing Service has always been there for my Stroke Survivors and Carrers. They attend my groups and advise on how they can help them with the variety of ways in which they can help. They go out of their way to help the person as an individual.
I attend their meetings to take information back to my clients.

We are relatively new to this nursery as we moved to the area. It’s always a worry uprouting your child from a setting where they’ve been settled for so long and happy. We honestly couldn’t be more pleased, Canterbury road have welcomed both our little ones with open arms, and made every step of their settling into this new environment fun, and exciting. We would highly recommend this nursery to others, the staff are professional, friendly, they take a personal interest in each and every child and they couldn’t do more for you.
I cannot rate this nursery highly enough. My little girl has special needs and I was so scared to send her to a nursery but I couldn’t have picked better. She absolutely loves it. Her key workers have always gone above and beyond. The nursery has accommodated us in every way and has been brilliant. I will be so sad when she leaves. Definitely 5 star and over.
I have worked at the nursery for over 7 years and have seen and experienced positive changes since Mel and Philippa have taken over.
The children and parents are happy, the staff are much happier and it shows in the low staff turnover, as well as the enticing and exciting activities that are planned daily.
The children and families are always put first by management who have an open door policy for whenever parents or staff would like to chat, and two senior room leaders who are based within our nursery rooms.
We have recently had an amazing make over in the last year, which the staff, parents and children have embraced. It has been amazing to watch the children explore in New and exciting ways and having new resources for us as staff members to support each and every child’s learning and development. I highly recommend Canterbury Road Day Nursery to prospective parents and staff.
