Our restaurants will remain as a contactless takeaway for the time being .Ordering is easy, fill in the form on our ordering page and click send – we’ll message you back confirming the details. If it’s after 5pm on the day you’d like to order, then phone us to place your order. We do tend to be busy but we’ll always do our best to fit you in. Collection is easy too – just arrive at our door at your time slot – we’ll be there with your order, you pay contactlessly through glass and then the door opens with our high tech hands free opener allowing you to take your delicious food without touching anything.

A Friday night Susie’s has been one of the things that has kept us going during the lockdown this winter. Rich, wholesome, awesome veggie food, always ready on time from Susie and Ian. Definitely the best way to start the weekend!
Had great enchiladas from Susie’s Kitchen again tonight with superb salad/hummus plus their tremendous triple cooked chips.
Highly recommend Susie’s kitchen! I’m not vegetarian but I love all their food. So tasty and healthy! So far I’ve enjoyed the Thali curry, brownie, enchilada and veggie burger.

What We Offer:

We opened our doors in October 2021 and although that isn’t that long ago, we have a much longer history. Hendersons – Eat Better Live Better was started by Barrie Henderson, grandson of Janet Henderson who founded the original Henderson on Hanover Street that closed in 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic. This marked the end of an era, as Hendersons had originally opened in 1962, and was one of Edinburgh’s longest running restaurants, and the UKs longest running vegetarian restaurant – its closure left a visible gap in the Edinburgh dining scene.

Great veggie / vegan restaurant. Lots of vegan options (majority of menu) all clearly labelled and good variety. We had the Mushroom Cobbler, Nutloaf and the daily soup. Plus some extra bread and olives.
Great experience! The staff was very friendly, cheerful and very festive! We had 2 main courses – veg haggis and nut roast, 2 starters – cauliflower wings and the camembert, and the rainbow salad from their holiday menu.

We both had the nut roast, but there were so many other options on the menu, we’ll need to go back!

In 2017 FacePlant Foods started out as one of Scotland’s first pop-up, plant-based kitchens, attending markets and street food events across the country. We specialise in making plant-based alternatives to meat such as bacon, pastrami, chicken & turkey and our Cheeze is like no other vegan cheese out there.  We use all these ingredients to create delicious grilled cheeze sandwiches, cold sandwiches & weekly specials at our place in Leith, good place of edinburgh.We have a place! Amazing vegan place with some of the best vegan sandwiches I have ever had. I loved the Christmas menu. Plus it is dog friendly too. Will be bringing all my friends here – vegan and non-vegan!
Had two sandwiches from here with my friend (Mac and cheese and also tuna melt) and they were both INCREDIBLE !!! So tasty, some of the best vegan sandwiches 
Would happily recommend a visit here. Vegan or otherwise, I had one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Edinburgh (grilled mac & cheese). Very reasonable price for the hearty portion too.
